We chose the latter, embarking on the exhilarating adventure of creating our very own streaming station – both locally and internationally. Urban Edge is a dynamic radio station catering to contemporary adult audiences in South Africa and globally. Our vision is to transcend traditional radio, providing well-packaged audio and audio/visual content that connects audiences to economic and social realities. We strive to be a cutting-edge broadcaster adhering to global standards, utilizing the latest trends and platforms for a sustainable commercial entity. Urban Edge aims to connect and serve adult contemporary audiences through a 60/40 split of music and talk, utilizing platforms like online streaming, YouTube, DStv, social media, and even traditional broadcasting. Our target market comprises males and females aged 35-55, focusing on the economically active LSM 4-10 range. Founded by seasoned media professionals, Urban Edge is more than radio – it is a mobile, interactive, and multi-layered broadcaster fostering audience development.
